The Government's own health watchdog has linked two deaths to Labour's reforms on how GPs refer patients to specialists.
Doctors, patients and I warned the Government earlier this year that its mandatory Advice & Guidance changes and bounce-back target of 25% were restricting access to healthcare.
Our concerns were dismissed.
But these changes are not just flawed; they have been dangerous.
A report by the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) cites patient harms and delays to care, including delays to cancer diagnoses and, most worryingly, patient deaths.
Yesterday I urged the new Prime Minister to commit to an immediate review of the changes, as suggested by the health watchdog.
While he agreed to look, we need him to take action.
