Yesterday, in my role as Shadow Health Minister, I responded to a debate on World Asthma Day.
Before the General Election, the previous Government was in the process of developing the Major Conditions Strategy. As the third most common cause of death in England, respiratory conditions were among the six major conditions that would have been included.
The new Government has chosen not to proceed with the Major Conditions Strategy, so I asked the Minister to confirm how she plans to tackle asthma and other respiratory conditions, and ensure it will feature in the 10 year health plan being brought forward.
