Yesterday, as Shadow Health Minister, I responded to a debate on Community Hospitals.
It was an opportunity to champion the fantastic work of everyone at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital, as well as those working at the Hinckley Community Diagnostic Centre, which has just celebrated its first year!
When I spoke to NHS staff at the £24m Hinckley CDC earlier this month, I was pleased to hear that they are working to build capacity and grow the network locally so that more people can use services at the CDC.
It was also a chance to ask the Government for clarity on its strategy around community hospitals and the recently announced neighbourhood health centres.
You may remember that Hinckley was successful in the first tranche of 27 areas to secure a neighbourhood health centre! Find out more here: https://www.drlukeevans.org.uk/news/hinckley-health-centre
