This afternoon, the Government announced a full review of its ill-thought-out, poorly considered local government reorganisation, which would see the Leicester City boundary expanded.
This is only happening because of public dissatisfaction, the threat of legal challenges, and pressure from MPs and councillors alike who have fought against these plans.
Rest assured, my Conservative colleagues and I will continue to do all we can to oppose the imposition of changes that local people simply do not want!
