Earlier today I asked the Foreign Office Minister a simple question: is the deal to give away the Chagos Islands dead?
In response, she said 'Funding for the Treaty will be provided for in the existing spending review settlements.'
If the deal is dead, why is the Government allocating funding for it?
Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband, the new Foreign Secretary, need to be honest about their plans for the Chagos Islands.
