We discussed the impact on infrastructure (roads, schools, GP surgeries etc) in areas like ours without an up-to-date Local Plan, which controls where housebuilding goes.
Without this – as people across Hinckley and Bosworth are finding out – we are left exposed to speculative housing developments.
I also reiterated the need for stronger protections for Neighbourhood Plans, which I secured changes for under the previous Government (although I would have liked more!) and will continue to raise with this Government.
