In Parliament: Support for Disabled People

Friday, 24 September, 2021

After a disabled constituent got in touch with me to explain the difficulties they still experience when travelling around the UK, in Parliament this week I raised equal access to facilities with the Department for Work and Pensions.

I am glad that the Government is working towards ensuring that everyone in the country can access all facilities, including those with a disability, and are ‘on a mission to make the UK the most accessible tourist destination in the world’. I hope to keep raising these important issues for those constituents who are affected.
