This week I - once again - raised concerns around the impact that delays to processing times are having on our pensioners following Labour's decision to restrict the Winter Fuel Payments so widely.
A recent response to a Parliamentary Question I submitted shows that processing times for Pension Credit - which the Government insisted people apply for after last year's WFP cut - reached a peak of 87 working days in December 2024. The target processing time is 50 working days.
Since the Government announced it was cutting Winter Fuel Payments I have been concerned about subsequent delays to processing times. You can see my question from the end of October here: Almost 1 in 4 pensioners unlikely to receive Pension Credit in time for Christmas | Dr Luke Evans MP
