What a turnout!!
This afternoon people across Leicestershire and the political spectrum came together at County Hall to protest against Labour’s forced Local Government changes.
I know many others would have liked to attend, but couldn’t due to work or prior commitments. The protest was organised specifically for 1pm, right before a County Council meeting at 2pm at which the changes were discussed.
Thank you to everyone across the county who is making sure their voice is heard, either by writing to MPs and councillors, posting on social media, signing petitions or talking to neighbours and making sure everyone knows what’s being proposed.
Rest assured I’ll continue to work with other local Conservative MPs and Council Leaders to oppose these changes and scrutinise every stage of the process.
