While I welcome some of the measures announced yesterday by the Home Secretary, I yet again raised concerns that we don't use age verification, unlike many other European countries, in cases where people who have crossed the Channel illegally are claiming to be under the age of 18 to prevent deportation.
I raised this with the Home Secretary, and am pleased to hear the Government is now at least looking at age verification.
