Last week, as Shadow Health Minister, I responded to a debate on dementia, an issue which I know is important to many people and families across our community.
It was an opportunity for cross-Party MPs to come together and discuss diagnosis, research and care--areas where we have made good progress since the 2012 pledge of the then-Prime Minister, David Cameron.
At the start of this year, the Government and NHS England removed the diagnosis target from NHS planning guidance, so I asked for clarity from the Minister on whether he will commit to increasing diagnosis rates and how the Government plans to hold local systems to account.
