I want to hear your views: defections from the Conservative Party

On Thursday 15th January, it was announced that Robert Jenrick had been fired from his role as Shadow Justice Secretary, had the Conservative whip removed from him, and had been stripped of his Party membership.

Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative Party, said that evidence had been provided which showed Jenrick was planning a 'damaging' defection to Reform UK.

Later that day, Jenrick joined Nigel Farage at a press conference to announce he was joining Reform.

On Monday 26th January, Suella Braverman, former Home Secretary (2022 - 2023), announced that she too was defecting to Reform UK.
