There are three key strands to energy and climate: security, affordability, and environmental impacts.
I believe that the sooner we move to an energy self-sufficient country, the better. The security of our nation, and the costs to people and families, would be greatly improved.
Improving and protecting the environment is a benefit for us all, be it: air quality, reduction in consumables or non-sustainable methods.
But these improvements need to be done in an affordable way, and using our oil and gas responsibly makes sense.
