In yesterday's debate on seasonal workers, we discussed, among other things, cuts to business rates relief and increases to the National Living Wage and employers' National Insurance.
These changes, coupled with the red tape coming forward in the Employment Rights Bill, have created a toxic concoction that is having a negative impact on businesses.
One of the sectors feeling this burden the most is hospitality, such as cafes, hotels and pubs.
Businesses – not Government – grow the economy.
The Government can provide the framework, but it is businesses that must be encouraged to invest, employ and grow in the UK.
