This week was another busy, but very productive, week both nationally, personally and for Bosworth, here's just some of what I've been up to:
- Raised the issue of age verification checks during the Small Boats Debate, with the Home Secretary - you can watch my question, and read more on my thoughts on the issue, here: https://www.drlukeevans.org.uk/news/parliament-small-boats-debate
- Welcomed the Minister from the Department of Transport to MIRA, to see some of the fantastic work happening there - I'm consistently impressed by the cutting-edge technology being developed right on our doorsteps, and their plans for the future look very exciting indeed!
- Held a surgery at Morrisons in Hinckley for people to come and have a chat with me - a huge range of topics came up, thanks to everyone who took the time to stop!
- Visited the Equestrian Centre at Newbold Verdon - one of the largest high-quality equestrian facilities in the country, thanks to them for having me down!
- Lead a Westminster Hall debate in Parliament on body image, social media, and the impact on our health
- Spoke to Times Radio, GB News and BBC News about my #RecogniseBodyImage campaign - sign the petition here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/599952
- Met with Hinckley & Bosworth Council to work on sports and facilities in our area, if you have a sports project that needs help do get in contact with me
- Raised the healthcare backlog locally and nationally with Royal College of Physicians
- Supported my parliamentary colleague Siobhan Baillie on her proposed law on social media anonymity
As ever, if you are experiencing an issue or problem I may be able to help with, don't hesitate to get in touch by sending me an email to luke.evans.mp@parliament.uk
