A gentle reminder that, regardless of where you plan to put your X in tomorrow's (Thursday 4th May) Local Election, you now need to take a form of photo ID with you.
Accepted forms of photo ID include, but is not limited to:
- Photocard Driving Licence (full or provisional licence)
- UK passport
- A PASS card (National Proof of Age Standards Scheme)
- Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
- An older person's buss pass
- Defence Identity Card (MOD form 90)
- National identity card issued by the EU, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein
- A Voter Authority Certificate
You can find details on how to vote (polling stations are open tomorrow between 7am and 10pm) and the full list of accepted forms of photo ID here: https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/voting-in-person
You can still use your ID even if it has expired, but the photo on your ID must look like you.
