The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs are gathering evidence and want to hear your views to help inform future policy decisions on plastics and recycling. This provides a fantastic opportunity for local people to have their say on national policy and issues they care about. Please pass on to anyone who you believe may be interested.
There are two ways in which you can have your say:
A public consultation on proposals to ban the supply of single-use plastic. This includes:
- plates
- cutlery
- balloon sticks
- expanded and extruded polystyrene food and drink containers
You can complete the online survey here.
A call for evidence regarding commonly littered single-use plastic items, especially:
- wet wipes
- tobacco filters
- sachets
- single-use cups
You can also express your views on how to shift away from single-use items to reusable or refillable alternatives.
You can provide evidence here.
Both consultations close on the 12th February 2022.
